A California Garden Wedding with Romantic Florals

Garden weddings never fail to woo us, especially when they come in autumn. This super chic affair, put together by the bride and Carla Kayes Floral Design on floral design, had us breathless until the very last image from Plum & Oak. If you're ready to see a mouthwatering dessert bar, stylish bridesmaids, and some serious floral inspiration, let's jump right on in!
From the bride, Lindsay: Growing up I always envisioned my wedding to be pink. The more pink the better. Once engaged, I immediately started planning our wedding in my head and the vision I had was more fall colors. Greenery... lots and lots of greenery!! Brainstorming through Pinterest (of course), I was afraid of going too dark. What could be better than a fall vision with a little bit of pink?
Flower recipe: Peachy/Coral "Romantic Antique" Garden Rose; Soft Peach "Juliet" Garden Rose; Peach Campanella Garden Rose; Pink Ball Dahlia; Pink Eye Protea; Blushing Bride Protea; White Majolika Spray Rose; Burgundy Scabiosa Flower; Burgundy Astilbe; Burgundy Foxglove or Snapdragon; Seeded, Willow and Dollar Eucalyptus; Ferns; Seasonal Greenery and Vines.
The rest of the planning sort of took place as it went by. I had no idea what color I wanted my girls to wear until they tried on the dark dresses! My goodness... this color popped! Then the rest sort of fell in place as I worked with my team. My florist did the most amazing job with tying all the colors in together with the flowers.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Just have fun and don't plan too far in advance. I got engaged a little over a year before my wedding and I can't tell you how many times I changed little details. Also, take note from other weddings! I thought I wanted a different color scheme for my flowers until I saw that color scheme at a wedding and totally realized I wanted something a little brighter and pinker.
